Family run since the 1980s

The Happy Makers

One duck in the eighties, over 500 today. A family business from Amsterdam that never quite stopped collecting.

Our goal

Every duck is an event

Collectibles, not bath toys.

Nobody needs a rubber duck. That is more or less the point. Ours have names, outfits and faces, and they are made to be given away or kept on a shelf. Rarely to end up in a bath.

Every one is designed here, from the outfit down to the name. Some took an afternoon. Others took a year, because the hat would not sit right.

Our vision

More than a brand

Made to keep, not to float.

A duck that ends up in a drawer has failed. We design for the shelf, the desk and the windowsill, the places where you actually see them.

  • Every duck has a story. A name, an outfit, and usually a joke somewhere.
  • Built to sit still. Solid, detailed, and heavier than they look.
  • Easy to give away. Hard to explain, easy to receive.

That is the whole idea. No occasion required, though one helps.

What sets us apart

Loved by families, tourists and collectors.

  • Nobody stops at one. The second duck is always easier than the first.
  • Something for every age. Children pick the animals, collectors hunt the rare ones.
  • A souvenir that is not a magnet. Small enough for a suitcase, odd enough to remember.
  • Shipped from Amsterdam. Where the whole thing started, and still runs from.
